Hello Milton Tennis Community:
I am pleased to inform you that the construction of the new courts at the Milton Tennis club started today! This work includes 8 brand new courts, hitting wall, and refreshed deck and ramp.
As well, we are working with the Milton Winter Tennis club to update the clubhouse with new paint, furniture, and updates to the downstairs change rooms.
The target is to complete in time for the opening of the new winter bubble in the Fall of this year, 2018!
There will be further emails about membership, early bird specials, and discounts for Milton residents, and Milton tennis club members. So stay tuned!
In the meantime, continue honing your game at the public courts, or at other clubs. No doubt you will want to come back to Milton TC, to see all of our exciting new changes!!
To our members,
I wanted to let you know that the plan to close next season is still moving ahead. The Town continues to negotiate with the third party operators who have bid on the winter bubble and a selection should be made very soon. I was very encouraged to hear from the Town of how impressed they were with the bids. The feeling is very positive that the winter bubble will be coming to Milton next year!
Part of that process will be a complete reconstruction of our courts starting as early next spring as the weather will allow! We have to hope for a warm dry spring! As such the club will be closed and will reopen fully with all of the same teams and programs in 2019.
President, Milton Tennis Club
If you are curious to check out our facilities and the courts, come out to our Information Sessions and On-site registration the last two weekends of April.
We will be on hand Saturday April 22, 10am to 2pm, Sunday April 23, 10am to 2pm as well as Saturday April 29, 10am to 2pm and April 30, 10am to 2pm.
Come prepared with questions or to register on site. We will accept cash and cheques at this on-site registration as well as credit cards.
The Milton Executive has had very productive discussions with the Town of Milton over the last several months. They are FINALLY willing to pursue the possibility of Winter Tennis in Milton with a third party operator. As such, the reconstruction of our courts (originally scheduled for spring 2017) will be delayed until 2018.
During this time, the Town with our input will be putting out a RFP and selecting a vendor to operate and install a winter bubble. Planning and designing will occur with all parties with a target start date for reconstruction in the spring of 2018. We would close for the 2018 outdoor season instead.
We will keep you posted on the updates with the Town and please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Introducing a new ranking system for members that has nothing to do with your level of play!! Members earn points by volunteering, playing in our tournaments, joining House League, participating in social events and so much more.
Points are added up monthly and posted in the Clubhouse. At the end of season the top two Adult members and the top two Junior members get prizes!
You don’t have to be the best tennis player to finish at the top of these rankings. Each time you participate or join an activity you earn points. Volunteer, play, come to a pot luck, have some fun – you could be our winner!!!
Hello from Lisa Traverse, the PR Director for the Club. You will see that this is a brand new website. I’ve created this site myself using WordPress, copying most of the content from our old site. It’s been a slog, this blog! However, I am pleased to see it go live. I am sure that you will all see errors. Please do let me know what you find so I can fix it.
I hope you will enjoy the new site. It’s Responsive so it should change based on whatever device you use to look at it. In other words, if you are on your phone it will look just as good as if it’s on your PC.
If you have any pictures you would like to share, please do send them to me. We have added a photo gallery.
Enjoy the new site!
