Anyone want to go skating? The Milton Tennis Club is awaiting Spring. Our back five courts are sheltered this winter and the front three (pictured here) will be under construction ASAP. 2019 will eventually bring us eight brand new courts to enjoy. Think warm thoughts and see you in May!

Congrats to our Junior InterCounty teams!

Congrats to our Junior InterCounty teams!

MTC fielded two Junior ICTA teams this year … Junior Mixed A West and Boys U14-U18 A West. The “Boys” team beat out seven other teams to win their Division. Watch for their trophy in the Clubhouse in 2019!

Special congrats to MVP Akash for his 10 wins this season!

Renovations POSTPONED

Renovations POSTPONED

UPDATE – MTC open in 2017!

As some of you may have heard there is a possibility that our facility will be undergoing renovations for the entire 2017 tennis season.  The Town cannot confirm if the proposed budget has been approved until early in the New Year. We are very thankful that the Town has taken our concerns about our courts seriously and seem prepared to make a major investment in tennis in Milton.

The preliminary plan is that all 8 courts will be reconstructed, not just resurfaced, and that the work will rectify the issues we have been having with the court surface. As mentioned, it is estimated that the work will require the full 2017 year to complete cancelling all programs for the year. While you may have many questions, at this point we do not have any more information than has been provided in this note. We will make sure updates are provided as they are received.

Sincerely ,

Milton Tennis Club Executive

Sadly, we don’t have enough teams entered to run our annual Belinda Kuipers MTC fundraising tournament in 2016. It’s with mixed emotions that we cancel for July 23 on what would have been Belinda’s birthday. Pictured here are the finalists from our 1st tourney in 2010. Many thanks to Jeff Truswell for his never ending support of Belinda’s Milton Tennis Club work! Remembering Belinda:

Opening Day

Opening Day

Opening Day became Opening Night this year! Good call on trusting the weather forecast and moving it from today (it’s raining) to last night (when the sun was shining on us). The weather was gorgeous. The Club was busy! We had music – thanks Kevin. We had the BBQ going – thanks Dave and Gabor. The courts were packed with activities – thanks Coach Andre and helpers. Our juniors are looking STRONG! Thanks to all the volunteers (especially our Social Director, Abegail) who made our first social event of the season such a success.
