Hello Milton Tennis Club,

I’m excited to share my first update “From the President’s Desk” — and to kick things off with our new MTC strategic slogan for 2026:

“Member-Centered. Volunteer-Powered. Professionally Coached.”

1) Summer 2026 Registration Opens March 1, 2026

Registration for the Summer 2026 season opens on Sunday, March 1, 2026. We’ll post the registration link along with clear, step-by-step instructions on our website closer to the date. On opening day, Bhagwat Verma (Director of Membership) will email the same details to everyone, and Amalia Trusca (VP) will share them in the WhatsApp group.

2) Adult Membership Fee Update

For Summer 2026, the Adult Individual membership fee will increase from $150 to $160.

Accordingly, the Family Package (two adults) will also be adjusted from $310 to $330.

This change only applies to adult individuals and family packages (two adults). No change to other membership categories, including Junior, Senior and Student.

Why the change — and why now?

We know any fee increase deserves a clear explanation. Here are the key factors the Board considered:

  • No increase in the past 3 years: Costs have risen across supplies, maintenance, and services while membership fees remained flat.
  • Still in the lower band across the GTA: Even at $160, MTC remains at the lower end compared to comparable GTA tennis clubs.
  • Protecting court quality and member experience: This helps us maintain what members value most — reliable courts, smooth operations, and strong overall experience.
  • Supporting a thriving club community: This supports the people and resources needed to run leagues, ladders, socials, tournaments, and the summer crew that keeps club operations moving.

3) Court Availability and Scheduling Review

Many of you have reached out about court availability, and the Board agrees that fair, reasonable access matters. We’re reviewing all court allocations to better align with member needs while preserving the strong coaching and competitive programming at MTC. We’re also working with the ACE team on potential scheduling adjustments to create more flexibility for member play. Because these discussions are still in progress, the summer program and event calendar may be released slightly later – we’ll share an update as soon as it’s finalized and post it on our website.

In the meantime, thank you for being part of the MTC community — and for your support as we keep pushing toward what matters most: more member court time, a thriving club community, and high-quality coaching services.
