Hi Everyone,

I’m pleased to share my March update “From the President’s Desk” as we continue building strong momentum for the Summer 2026 season.

1) Summer 2026 Registration Is Off to a Strong Start

Since registration opened on March 1, we’ve seen an outstanding response. As of March 30, 2026, MTC has already welcomed:

261 Adults, 45 Families, 66 Juniors, 47 Seniors, and 15 Students

Thank you for your strong support. The energy for the new season is building quickly, and I look forward to seeing everyone back on the courts this summer.

2) More Court Time for Members This Summer

In my February update, I shared that the Board was reviewing court availability and scheduling. I’m pleased to report that several important changes have now been made to improve court access for members this summer:

  • OTA tournaments reduced by 50% from 10+ in past years to up to 5 this summer
  • No Intercounty Majors team this summer — reducing court use for home matches
  • Closer monitoring of bookings and usage — with the summer crew and Board Executives reviewing court use regularly and adjusting where needed

These are meaningful steps toward what members have clearly asked for most: more court time, fairer access, and a better overall playing experience.

3) A New Coaching Team and More Program Choice

One of the biggest developments for Summer 2026 is the addition of a new coaching team: NextGen Tennis Academy (NTA), founded and led by Nina Nieves, currently the Lead Pro at Milton Winter Tennis Club.

We also appreciate ACE’s support in making it possible for Nina’s team to continue delivering high-performance training for both juniors and adults at MTC this summer.

NTA includes many well-loved coaches, and I’m especially excited to highlight that Dušan Vemić was formerly part of Novak Djokovic’s coaching team.

This summer, NTA will offer high-performance junior and adult training alongside ACE’s returning programs. Our goal is clear: more choice, stronger programming, and better options for our members. Please visit the Coaches section of the MTC website to learn more.

4) Program Registration Opens March 31

Another exciting update: most ACE and NTA programs will open for registration on March 31, 2026.

On behalf of the Board, thank you for your patience. A great deal of work has taken place behind the scenes to make this happen, and we truly appreciate your support.

With the club opening in early May, the countdown is on — and I look forward to seeing you all very soon.
