Hello Milton Tennis Club,

We are excited to welcome everyone back for the 2026 outdoor season. The Club will officially open on Friday, May 1, 2026, and court bookings will open at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 30.

When booking, you may notice that the back courts are not yet available. We just took over those courts from the winter operation on April 29, and our summer crew is working hard to get them ready. We expect them to be available early next week.

Thanks to the support of the Town of Milton, MTC has been approved to open 30 minutes earlier than last year. Our summer operating hours will now be:

6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This is great news for members, but it also comes with an important reminder. If you are playing early in the morning, please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. The early start time may be withdrawn if the Town receives complaints, in which case we may be required to return to a 7:00 a.m. opening time.

For everyone’s convenience, our court booking rules are summarized below:

  • Booking window: 7-day advance booking, opening daily at 7:30 a.m.
  • Prime time: Weekdays 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and weekends 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Prime-time limit: Maximum 3 prime-time bookings per member within a rolling 7-day period

As President, I kindly ask all members to continue following our booking rules so that everyone can enjoy fair and reasonable access to the courts. Booking activity will be reviewed regularly, and where issues arise, our first step will always be to provide a friendly reminder and guidance. For repeated or serious concerns, the Board may consider temporary booking restrictions or further action. Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful and fair playing environment for all members.

In addition to regular league matches and the upcoming Wednesday House League, we have several exciting events planned for May. I look forward to seeing many of you there:

  • May 16: Club Opening Day
  • May 22: Junior Social Event
  • May 29–31: Ladies’ Singles Tournament

Finally, please join me in welcoming Carlos Hernandez as our new Director of Facilities. Carlos brings strong expertise in technology and data analytics, and I am excited to work with him as we continue modernizing the Club’s operations and oversight.

The Board is still looking for additional volunteers to fill key roles, including Director of Public Relations and Secretary. If you are interested in supporting the Club, please reach out to me.

I hope to see you on the courts this weekend.

Warm regards,
Kyle Xu
President, Milton Tennis Club
